EVENTS FOR INCENTIVE GROUPS BEACH
SPORTS CONTEST Most
groups enjoy an element of competition and a few suggestions to get
everybody involved in the fun are provided below. The
setting for the event is most important. As all beaches in Rio are
public and generally crowded, we recommend this done in conjunction with
the Tropical Islands Cruise Tour, turning it into a full-day tour and
event that goes well into the evening. With the paradise scenery and
semi-private facilities on the island, the setting for our Cruise and
Beach Sports is perfect. If you should opt for a satellite arrangement
(ex. 3 nights in Rio, 2 nights at Hotel Elias C, Itacuruçá Island or
any of the resort hotels outside Rio) we can even count on the
facilities of the hotel for our event. After
lunch, teams compete for points or medals. Each team should have a
captain, who select which team members will participate in each event,
as well as confer on selecting judges! Suggested
events: *
KAYAK RELAY A short course is marked off into lanes. Four man teams take
turns paddling kayaks to marker flags and back to start, where the next
team member takes over. Winners are first, second and third teams to
complete the course. *
SOCCER (FOOTBALL) On the beach a field is marked. An even number of
teams play against each other in games of tem or fifteen minutes
duration. At
the Elias C; (Or other resort hotel) *
TENNIS/TABLE TENNIS Single or double match with members from each team. *
VOLLEYBALL As soccer (Football). *
FISHERMAN'S LUCK The swimming pool is turned into a fish pond with lots
of small pieces of polystyrene (or other floating material) with a hook
and a number written underneath. Each guest tries his luck catching a
piece in the allotted time with a fishing rod. The number on the back
corresponds to X number of points. The judge decides! *
Other events can include tug-of-war, hide and-seek, sand sculpture
contest, coconut relay, trekking, etc. Your imagination is the limit. DURATION:
12 hours. CAPACITY:
400 pax split into two groups at opposite ends of beach. CONSIDERATIONS: ENHANCEMENTS: *
