The Iguaçu Falls are located at the point where the borders of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina meet. Flights are available front all parts of  Brazil as well as from Paraguay and Argentina.  The  town of Foz do Iguaçu has fine hotels, many providing exceptionally high standard of service and accommodations.

The falls are formed by the meeting of the Paraná and Iguaçu Rivers. Their waters descend the great height of the falls with such torrential force that the sound is heard miles away.  Great clouds of spray climb upwards, often carrying rainbows to the sky, the Iguaçu Falls are the largest it the world. Helicopters are available for a closer view of the falls, and boats provide tours close to the ‘Devil’s Pass’. Iguaçu is located  410 miles from Curitiba and can also be reached by highway. Most of the falls are located at the Argentinean side and worth a visit. The best views one gets from the Brazilian side!
The Itaipu Dam is another interesting point for visitors. It is still the largest hydropower plant on earth, with an installed output of 12,600 MW and an annual production next to none; 93,4 billion kWh/year! Visit their site for more info: www.itaipu.gov.br
