Our bilingual guide will be at hand to assist you with your baggage clearance and any further airport formalities. CGB002A - CITY TOUR H/D Sightseeing Tour through the city of Cuiaba. Visits to the old center, with constructions dating back to the time of the city's foundation, the Harbor, Rondon Museum, Mini Zoo, "Bom Despacho" Cathedral and a small-scale clay craft factory. Departure from Cuiaba at 07.30 am. Drive 100 km to the start of the Pantanal and the former gold-prospectors town of "Pocone", the last town before entering the Pantanal Itself. The trip continues along the so-called "Transpantaneira" highway - dirt-road for another 65 km ride - with excellent opportunities to observe the rich and varied fauna and flora of the Pantanal basin. At the bridge over the River Pixaim, a stop is made for a delicious regional lunch. Followed by a boat ride down the River Pixaim with excellent film and/or photographic opportunities. Return to Cuiaba. CGB004A - CHAPADA DOS GUIMARAES WITH LUNCH F/D Departure from Cuiaba at 08.30 am, driving north to the "Chapada dos Guimaraes" National Park, a unique upland region, containing impressive rock-formations, waterfalls, highly valuable fauna and flora, as well as fossil and mineral deposits. You will have the opportunity to spend the day exploring this beautiful area, with the option of a swim or a shower under one of the many waterfalls. Lunch will be provided in the historical city of "Chapada dos Guimaraes". After lunch, a stop-off at the geodesic center of South America, with a truly breathtaking view over the place. CGB010A - PANTANAL EXPRESS WITH LUNCH AND DINNER F/D Departure from Cuiaba at 06.00 am, proceeding 100 km to Pocone, the gateway town to the Pantanal Matogrossense. Continuation on dirt-road "Transpantaneira", to "Porto Cercado" situated on the banks of the River Cuiaba. Lunch will be served en route, during a 06 hour boat trip to the small riverside town "Barao de Melgaco", where a delicious local dinner will be served. After this, meal you will have the opportunity to participate of a alligator-spotting tour in the dark with a potent spotlight. Return to Cuiaba. NB: This tour can be operated in the reverse direction - starting from Barao de Melgaco. CGB011A - LAND SAFARI - 3 DAYS/2 NIGHTS This is the same program as "LAND SAFARI 4 DAYS/3 NIGHTS" except for the tour "Chapada dos Guimaraes" that is not included. Day 01 - Reception at the airport or hotel with immediate departure to "Chapada dos Guimaraes" National Park, a unique upland region that separates the Amazon Basin (North) from the Silver Basin in the South. Lunch will be served in the center of the historical town of "Chapada dos Guimaraes". After lunch, visit to the geodesic center of South America and breathtaking view over the plains to Cuiaba. Return to Cuiaba, dinner and overnight stay. Day 02 - After breakfast, departure en route to the Pantanal on paved road to Pocone, the gateway to the "Pantanal Matogrossense". Continuation along Transpantaneira dirt-road, with ample opportunity of observing the rich local fauna and flora. After lunch, a reconnaissance tour, exploring the nearby waterfalls by motorized canoe. During the this tour, you will have excellent opportunities to film or photograph the local fauna and flora. Return to the lodge for dinner, followed by a night-time alligator spotting tour. Return to lodge for overnight stay. Day 03 - Breakfast followed by an ecological trek in the nearby area to observe the local fauna and flora. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, a three-hour bout trip with the opportunity to fish and catch the renown "Piranha", also having the chance of filming and photographing the fauna and flora of the area. Return to the lodge enriched with the renown "Piranha Soup", dinner and overnight stay. Day 04 - After breakfast, return to Cuiaba Airport in time to connect with departure flight or return to hotel.
