BEL004A - CITY TOUR H/D

Tour starts with visits to "Ver O Peso" (Typical market open only in the morning), "Castelo Fortress" built by  the  Portuguese  in  the  17th century,  "Emilio Goeldi Museum" that is a research center of fauna, flora and anthropology of Amazonia, (a piece of the Amazon forest, right in the heart of the city; The "Goeldi Museum" is also a zoo!), the  "Basilica of Our Lady of Nazareth", built in the rubber  boom  period,  (this church is one of the  most  beautiful  churches  in  Brazil),  and also a short sightseeing in the city. Entrance fees are included. Duration: 03 hours

BEL005A - CITY TOUR WITH LUNCH H/D

Tour starts with the usual city tour visiting  the  "Ver O Peso"  Market,  so famous and where the people can see fisher boats arriving bringing still alive fishes.  It is also possible to see a "fair" of fruits,  vegetables  and  typical  dishes.  After this, we go to the "Museum Goeldi" that is a  zoo  and botanic garden, used now as a researching  center  of  fauna  and  flora  of  the  Amazonia.     Then  we  visit  the "Basilica of Our Lady of Nazareth",  which was built in the  rubber  boom  time  in European style,  and  is  considered  to  be one of the most beautiful churches in Brazil.  After all these visits,  we go to "La em Casa", one of the best restaurants in Belem,  where  we  will  enjoy  a  delicious  three-course lunch. Return to hotel. Duration: 05 hours.

BEL006A - VISIT TO ICOARACY H/D

Half day visit  to Icoaracy, a pottery village located 25 km from Belem, very close to the entrance of Belem/Brasilia  highway.  In Icoaracy,   a visit  to  the handcraft artisans, with the opportunity to  witness  the  manufacturing,  painting and drying process. Chances of bargains due  to  the  large  variety  of  ceramic pieces and number of artisans. Monday to Saturday at 09.00 AM or 03.00 PM. Duration:  03 hours.

BEL007A - RIVER TOUR H/D

Unforgettable river  tour  through  the  narrow  channels  and  creeks  of  "Guama River"  with  permanent  contact  with  the  river  population   (Caboclos)  in   their stilt-houses.  A stop is made at "Santa Maria Island"  for a walk in the forest, with opportunity to discover many regional fruit trees, rubber trees, and the feel of the jungle.  Transfer  from  and  to  hotel  included.  Daily  departures:  08:30 AM and 02:30 PM. Duration: 03:30 hours.

BEL007C - RIVER TOUR WITH LUNCH F/D

BEL008A - MOSQUEIRO ISLAND WITH LUNCH F/D
Drive through the  industrial  area of  Belem on the Belem/Brasilia  Highway  (margined by the Amazon Jungle). After crossing the "Furo das Marinhas" over the 1,5 km- "Sebastião de Olivenca Bridge, to the "Mosqueiro"  Island  it  is  possible to have a  wonderful panoramic  view of the "Marajó" Bay.  Sixteen  river  beaches  and  tropical  warmth invite you  to  a  swim.  A  tasty  lunch  in  a  local  restaurant  is  included. Daily Departures: 09:00 am. Duration: 07 hours.

BEL009A - AGRICULTURAL TOUR H/D

Half day  visit  to  EMBRAPA -  Institute  for  Agriculture and cattle breeding, with possibilities  to  see  plantations  of  many  Amazonian  products  such as; Brasil nuts, Black  pepper,  Cocoa  beans,  among  others.  Monday to Friday at 09:00 am. or 03:00 pm. Duration: 03 hours. 

BEL010A - BELEM BY NIGHT - WITH DINNER & SHOW

Performed  at  one  of  Belém's  best  restaurants  presentation  of  some  of  the various local typical dances such as;  "Carimbo",  "Lundu", "Siria", "Vaquejada", among others.  A delicious typical dinner is served during the show.  Transfer  to and from restaurant is included. Duration: 3 hours.

BEL011A - EMILIO GOELDI MUSEUM TOUR H/D

This tour consists basically or a detailed  visit  to "Emilio Goeldi Museum",  with its Botanical Garden, Anthropological exhibition, exotic aquarium and  Mini-Zoo. By taking part  of  this  tour,  the  client  will  really  learn  a  great  deal  about  the famous "Amazonian". Entrance fee included. Tuesdays to Sundays at 09:00 am. or 03:00 pm.  Except  Friday  afternoons  and  public  holidays,  when  the museum closes. Duration: 03 hours.

BEL012A - PARROTS ISLAND TOUR H/D

Before sunrise, departure  from  Belém  by  boat  to  "Parrot Island".   As the sun appears, thousand of parrots and  other birds leave the island in a  unforgettable flight.  Daily  departures  at  04:00 AM,  returning  to  hotel  at  08:00 AM.

BEL013A - PARROTS ISLANDS AND RIVER TOUR F/D

Before sunrise, leave  Belem  in a  regional  boat to "Parrot Island".  We wait the sun to appear, when thousand of parrots  and  other  birds  leave  their  island in several  directions  in  a  wonderful flight. You will  be  there to  witness this unforgettable scene. Before leaving for a half-day boat trip, a delicious breakfast is served. This boat tour includes ride through the "furos" (narrow channels)  and igarape's (small tributaries). Great opportunity to  observe  native  people  riding canoes, fishing and selling products from their stilt houses. Depending on the tide, our  excursion  can  continue  further  downstream  into the Igarape's,  where  the clients  can  get  a  close-up view  of  the  jungle  and  it's  wildlife.  The  tour also includes  Jungle  walk  and visit  to the "Caboclos" (Brazilian  half-breed  of  white people  and  Indian) in  their natural  habitat.  Duration:  07 hours.

BEL014A - MARAJÓ ISLAND BY BOAT-2D/1N

1^st day - Transfer   from  hotel to the port and departure in fast boat to Camara.  Arrival  with  immediate transfer  to  the  ranch first by  van then in  typical  boat. Full-board  accommodation  at  ranch.  Several  activities on the ranch including, field trips by boat, horseback or buffalo-back.  Piranha fishing, and at night, flash lighting for alligators.

2^nd day - Full board. Activities  on  the  ranch and after lunch, transfer to Camara in order to board the fast boat  back to Belém. Transfer to hotel upon arrival.  Daily departures

BEL014B - MARAJÓ ISLAND BY BOAT-3D/2N

1st day - Transfer from  hotel to the port and departure in fast boat to Camara.  Arrival  with immediate  transfer  to  the ranch   by van and  boat. Full-board  accommodation  at  ranch.  Several  activities on the ranch including, field trips by jeep, boat, horseback or buffalo back. Piranha fishing, and at  night flash lighting for alligators.

2nd day - Full board and several activities on the ranch.

3rd day - After lunch, transfer  to "Foz do Camara" in  order to  board the fast-boat back to Belém. One and a half hour boat ride. Transfer to hotel upon arrival. Daily departures.

BEL015A - MARAJÓ ISLAND BY PLANE - 2D/1N

1st day - Transfer from hotel to  air-club,  chartered  flight  to  Soure.  Arrival  with immediate transfer  to the  ranch by van and regional  boat. Full-board  accommodation on the  ranch.  Several  activities on the ranch including, field trips by jeep, boat, horseback or buffalo back.  Piranha fishing, and at night, flash-lighting for alligators.

2nd day - after lunch, transfer to Soure in order to flight back to Belem.  Arrival & transfer to hotel. Daily departures.

BEL015B - MARAJÓ ISLAND BY PLANE - 3D/2N

1st day - Transfer  from  hotel  to  air-club,  chartered  flight  to Soure. Arrival with immediate  transfer  to  the  ranch  by van and boat. Full-board accommodation on the ranch. Several  activities  on  the  ranch  including, field trips by jeep, boat, horseback or buffalo back. Piranha fishing, and  at night, flash-lighting for alligators.

2nd day - Full board and several activities on the ranch.

3rd day - after lunch, transfer to Soure  in  order to fly back  to  Belém.  Arrival and transfer to hotel. Daily departures.

BEL016A - MARAJÓ ISLAND BY BOAT - POUSADA DOS GUARAS-3D/2N

1st day - Pick  up  at  hotel, transfer  to Pier  to embark  the fast-boat to "Foz do Camara" (Municipality  of  Salvaterra)  in  "Marajó Island". After one and a half  hour  of navigation, arrival followed by transfer  to  Pousada  dos  Guaras or Hotel Ilha de Marajó. In the afternoon, after lunch, several activities on the island, including visit to farms to see buffaloes,  tannery,  the slaughterhouse, and "Araruama" mangrove area, where the scarlet ibis can be observed. Return to hotel for overnight.

2nd day - Breakfast followed by early departure to  know the city of "Salvaterra", from where we will leave for a boat tour  through  the  narrow  channels  or rivers. Stops are made at "Joannes Village", where  "Marajó Island"  was founded, and at "Praia Grande",  a nice beach bathed by  "Marajó Bay"  (the fresh water looks like the sea).  Return  to  hotel  in  the  afternoon. In the evening a Folklore dance show  is  performed  at  the  Hotel's  Restaurant,  with  the participation of skilled typical dancers and local people.

3rd day - Early departure to visit a  small farm,  where buffaloes are raised. After this, a stop is made at "Pesqueiros", the most beautiful fresh-water-beach of the Island.  In  the  afternoon  meeting  at  hotel  for returning  to Belém. (Weekends).

Remarks:

-Departure on Tuesdays and Fridays at 07:00 AM.
-Arrival on Thursdays at 3:00 pm and Sundays at 7:00 pm.
-All transfers in Belém and on the Island are included.
